What is SRAJD? This acronym stands for
Self-Representing Artist Jewelry Designer. If you
design, create, and sell your own jewelry, you are eligible for SRAJD
status.
To apply you
must:
Sell jewelry (or similarly related items like keychains,
bookmarks, etc) that you or someone in your immediate family designed
and made. Yes, you may sell other things, but the
SRAJD designation will be used to identify the jewelry items as made by
you.
There is no membership fee. And the only
"things" you'll get out of this organization is mostly what
you put into it. Meaning, we can all help to spread
the word and raise customer awareness of the difference between artists
trying to sell their own creation versus middlemen trying to make a buck
off of slave labor.
If you
want to apply for membership, please email me a link to your listings
(or the information to be able to find your listings), along with the
answers to the following questions: Email to: Application@BrackenDesigns.com
- How do you want your
name (YOUR
name, not the name of your business) listed on the
public roster?
- Do you want your email
address listed on the public roster?
- Do you want your
website (only one!) address listed on the public roster?
- Do you want your eBay
and/or Etsy name listed on the public
roster?
- If so, please provide
(them)
Upon
acceptance of membership:
-- You are eligible to use
the SRAJD logo on jewelry items for sale that you or someone in your
immediate family designed and made
-- You may only use the
SRAJD logo assigned to you (it will include your member #).
-- You may not sell
mass-produced or otherwise not produced by you jewelry. This
organization is for artists trying to support themselves by their own
craft.
Thanks,
Laura
